Building a Future of Learning at the Islamic University of Jigjiga For many years, our region did not have an Islamic university. Young people wanting to learn had very few choices, and many had to travel far from home just to get an education that matched their values and faith. A New Hope for Our Community Everything changed when the regional government stepped forward and donated land for the Muslim community to build a university. For the first time, people came together with a shared dream: to build a proper place of learning right here at home. Right now, our students and teachers are making do in a rented building as our temporary home. While this space has helped us get started, it is too small and cannot comfortably hold all the students who want to come and learn. Why We Need You Building a full university takes a lot of resources, and our local community cannot do it alone. That is why we are asking for help from people all around the world. When you donate, your money goes directly toward buying building materials, putting up strong walls, and finishing classrooms on our own land so students can study safely for years to come.
